Training
Specialist façade application requires specialist training.
To that end, our custom-built in-house training facility provides the ideal venue not just for training, but also evaluation, refresher courses and applicator familiarisation with new and improved system specifications.
There are a multitude of approved anti-crack systems available: insulation materials ranging from mineral wool and polystyrene to phenolic board and cork; façade finishes using thin and thick coat renders; silicones to acrylics ‘scratch-back’ systems; brick effect renders; brick slip finishes; dash renders and roughcasts - the list of options for our clients and customers is endless. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for any and all requirements, thanks to an experienced and trained workforce holding approvals and accreditations from the industry’s major suppliers.
Before each and every project, the Technical Manager reviews the individual system specification before inviting application operatives to attend a one-day training and familiarisation seminar at our training suite located at our Medway facility.
Over the course of the day, the tradesmen are led, step by step, through the individual project requirements by our Technical Manager, and in many instances (thanks to our close working relationships) alongside the system suppliers themselves. Power point presentations, standard and bespoke details and drawings are reviewed. Interface issues are highlighted and potential concerns discussed, clarified and resolved … long before we arrive on site. Afterwards, the training and familiarisation turns from theory to practice and, utilizing walls erected in our training suite, tradesmen are able to work through a variety of site scenarios, put theory into practice, hone techniques, develop ability and expand upon existing skills.
This ongoing commitment to the training and development of our tradesmen ensures that the Lawtech name remains synonymous with Quality and that the company stays up-to-date with the very latest in systems and specifications.
As the embryonic insulation industry continues to expand amid government-driven carbon friendly schemes and initiatives, the demand for a trained and competent workforce grows alongside. Thanks to our in-house training programme, our clients can be confident that when it comes to ‘specialist facades’, Lawtech are the specialists.
