Riverside House was a new build commercial property with a fresh and vibrant design. Lawtech Ltd was awarded the insulated render package using Alumasc materials. The project required an excellent standard of workmanship as the colour used would stand out. Lawtech Ltd provided many sample colours so that the Architect could make his choice but at the same time making sure that the lightness value of the finish was within recommended guidelines.
For Architects reading this article it is important to understand that not all colours are suitable for insulated render systems. The lightness value of a colour effects the heat absorption and if the render system gets too hot this can cause a failure of the system.
