A severely damaged lintel was causing major problems to an apartment block. Concrete repair specialists were needed to correct the problem.

Lawtech Ltd was instructed by Grummit Wade (Building Surveyors) to repair a large concrete lintel that had extensive corrosion and water damage. The work was to take place in an occupied apartment so the work had to be carried out with a great deal of consideration to the tenant. The lintel was so badly corroded that it was decided to replace the entire lintel with a new steel RSJ encased in new polymer modified concrete.

 A new steel cage was formed around the steel and a grout was poured into the fromwork. The final part was to make good with plaster so that decoration could be carried out. This contract was a highly specialist structural repair carried out to the highest standards.
