Lawtech Ltd was instructed to carry out the external wall insulation (Insulated render) to Cedars Rd a new build property for a charity running rehabilitation centers. The main Pierce Southern Ltd constructed the walls using in a timber frame and the insulated render was then fixed into a cement particle board or plywood board (for the curved areas).
The system used was Alsecco insulated render system with a silicone finish. The work required a lot of skill on site as the Architect wanted to achieve a building to mimic a Port Ledger. The curved work was a particular challenge and Lamella mineral fibre insulation was used so it could be rasped back to achieve the curve.
