A small insulated render contract but with a little extra.
The start of construction on site with several small and difficult sections to insulated render to be completed. The difficult tile section starts. These tiles were fixed to mesh off site (half square metre each) and then incorporated within the render system. Support ties were used due to its weight. PROJECT NAME: Bird in Bush
VALUE: £20,000
LOCATION: Old Kent Road, London
SYSTEM: Insulated Render & Anti-Crack Render
CLIENT: Sutherland Building Services

Lawtech Ltd was instructed by to carry out the Insulated render works to the Bird in Bush Nursery. The work consisted of insulated render as well as non insulated render using materials supplied by Alumasc PLC.

Of particular difficulty was the application to several curved areas and the tiled finish required by the client. Lawtech Ltd resourced a brick ceramic tile to match the existing previously removed and once the Architects approval had been given arranged for them to be shipped to Alumasc where they were bonded onto mesh sheets (Approx 0.50m² each) for incorporation onto the insulation board and base render. The weight of the tiles was of concern so a pin support system was designed to allow the application to be carried out. The tiles were then repointed after installation had been allowed to cure for 2 days.

Lawtech Ltd is an approved contractor for many of the leading façade material suppliers. We are able to provide assistance in the design and installation of various systems including lightweight metal frame and rail systems as well as traditionally fixed systems.
