Environmental Standards
As an acknowledged specialist in the field of Insulation, the primary function of Lawtech Ltd is, as the company logo proclaims, ‘Building Greener Communities’.
Utilizing the latest supply chain technologies and cutting edge SWI systems, our installations improve thermal efficiency, provide carbon emission reduction and bring genuine improvements to the Environment.
Solid wall, roof, External and Internal wall Insulation, Photovoltaic technologies (solar panels) and air source heat pumps are amongst the many environmentally friendly projects that we have undertaken. Although our business activity revolves around insulation and thermally efficient construction services, our obligations to the environment do not simply end there.
With an Environmental Management System certified by BSI to ISO 14001:2004 standard, (See Certificate) and certified by the Environment Agency as a registered waste carrier, we have appointed a dedicated Environmental Manager. His duties are to monitor company performance, promote ongoing improvement, develop initiatives and evolve existing procedures, all with a view to controlling the environmental impacts of our day-to-day activities and operations, whilst ensuring full compliance to current legal and other requirements.
As with our BSI approved Quality Management System, the environmental performance of the company and the sites and staff that make up Lawtech, is measured individually and collectively through a series of internal audits. Reporting directly to the Board, the Environmental Manager highlights any non-conformance and strategies for improvement, using corrective and preventive action plans. Thus we maintain an ongoing evaluation and improvement process that ensures our activities remain environmentally friendly, and that our staff maintain a ‘greener thinking’ mentality in the planning and execution of all works.
In the ongoing drive to minimise our environmental impact, a number of activities are undertaken, all revolving around our philosophy of “The three R’s”- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Car sharing, geographical tasking, local resourcing of materials, cycle-to- work incentive schemes, sourcing of sustainable products, recycling of pallets, metals, paper, plastics and polystyrene insulation, minimising landfill, supply chain compliance, eco-friendly fleet management, etc, etc all ensure that the negative impacts of our activity leave as small a carbon footprint as possible and the remainder is offset by the significant positive impact of our insulation and energy-efficient work activities.
Lawtech Ltd - Building Greener Communities… It’s not just a slogan… it’s a solution.
